Items Nobody May Sell on Campus Commerce
Sellers on Campus Commerce agree not to list any of the things below, and nothing else they are not lawfully entitled to sell. This list is part of the Seller Agreement. We remove a listing that breaks it and may suspend the shop without warning.
- Drugs and narcotics — illegal to sell, and never safe to hand over between strangers.
- Medicines and medical devices — selling them needs a drug licence, and a wrong dose or a fake can harm someone.
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives — dangerous, and licensed by law where they are allowed at all.
- Police or military equipment — uniforms, badges and gear can be used to impersonate an officer.
- Alcohol — its sale needs a licence that a student seller does not hold.
- Tobacco, e-cigarettes, vapes — restricted by the Tobacco Control Act, and e-cigarettes are banned in Bangladesh.
- Adult and sexual content or products — prohibited by the Penal Code and the Pornography Control Act, 2012.
- Counterfeit or replica goods — they deceive the buyer and break consumer and trademark law.
- Pirated software, media, e-books — copies sold without the rights holder's permission.
- Stolen property — selling it is a crime, and the real owner loses twice.
- Exam papers, leaked questions, answer keys — an offence under the Public Examinations (Offences) Act, 1980.
- Assignments or theses written to order — academic dishonesty, treated here as seriously as anywhere on Fresherz.
- ID cards, certificates, documents — official papers belong to the person named on them, and copies invite forgery.
- SIM cards and mobile accounts — every SIM is registered to one person's NID, so it cannot change hands.
- Money, crypto, gift cards, wallets, loans — financial services need Bangladesh Bank permission and attract fraud.
- Gambling, betting, lottery, raffles — prohibited by the e-commerce guidelines and the Penal Code.
- MLM and pyramid schemes — banned by the e-commerce guidelines; recruits pay and few are paid.
- Live animals and wildlife products — an animal is not a parcel, and wildlife trade is restricted by the Wildlife Act, 2012.
- Human organs, blood, body fluids — their sale is illegal and unsafe.
- Flammable, toxic or hazardous chemicals — they need a licence to hold and cannot be carried safely to a handover.
- Spy cameras, hacking, SIM-cloning, lock-picking tools — made to invade someone's privacy or property.
- Expired, adulterated or recalled goods — unsafe, and an offence under consumer and food safety law.
- Used cosmetics and hygiene items — they cannot be cleaned well enough to be safe for the next person.
- Hateful, obscene or religiously offensive material — it targets people, and the law punishes it.
