Fresherz

Privacy Policy

Applies to: fresherzjob.com and every page, email and notification we send from it.

Fresherz is an internship and entry-level job platform for Bangladesh. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect about you, why, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it. If anything here is unclear, write to us at support@fresherzjob.com and we will answer in Bangla or English, whichever you prefer.

Who runs Fresherz

Fresherz is operated by Fresherz, House no: 6, Road: 02, Block: L, Banani, Dhaka 1212, Bangladesh. One address reaches us for everything on this page and everything else: support@fresherzjob.com. Write in Bangla or in English.

What we collect

What you type in. Your name, email address, mobile number, city, date of birth, headline and "about" text, work experience, education, projects, certifications, skills, languages, links, salary expectation, notice period, availability, and the type of work you are looking for.

Your CV and your video introduction. If you upload a CV, we store the file. If you record a 60-second video introduction, we store that too.

What you do here. Applications you send, cover letters you write, screening answers you give, messages you exchange with employers, listings you save, searches you save as alerts, companies you follow, and reports you file about a listing.

Employer account information. Company name, logo, description, website, address, the people on the account and their roles, and the listings they post.

Technical information. Your IP address and the requests your browser makes, kept in server logs for security and abuse prevention.

If you sign in with Google. We ask Google only for your name, email address and profile picture (the openid, profile and email scopes). We never receive your Google password and we cannot read your Gmail, Drive or contacts.

We do not ask for your National ID number, and you should not put it in your profile. If our CV reader finds a number that looks like an identity document, it is written to skip it.

Why we collect it

  • To run your account — sign you in, keep you signed in, verify your email address, and recover access.

  • To show your profile to the employers you choose — see "What employers can see" below.

  • To send your applications — an employer receives your profile, your CV, your cover letter and your screening answers when you apply.

  • To send the emails you asked for — job alerts, application updates, new messages.

  • To keep the platform honest — moderating listings, acting on abuse reports, rate-limiting, and blocking fraud.

  • To bill employers — credits, invoices and receipts for paid employer accounts.

Artificial intelligence: reading your CV and checking your writing

Two features on Fresherz use an AI model, and both of them only run when you press a button.

Reading your CV. When you upload a CV, we scan it for viruses first. Only if it is clean do we send its text — and, when the page images are needed to read a two-column layout, pictures of up to two pages — to our AI gateway at ai.shakvaro.cloud, which routes the request to a third-party model provider — today that is Google (Gemini) or Anthropic (Claude), depending on which model the gateway selects for the request. The model returns a draft of your name, contact details, education, experience and skills. Nothing is written to your profile until you tick the sections you want and press Apply. Nothing already in your profile is ever overwritten by the AI, and no row is ever replaced — entries are only added.

Checking your writing. The "enhance" feature sends the text you wrote about yourself to the same gateway and offers suggested edits. You accept or reject each one, and you can undo the whole thing afterwards. Correction of Bangla text is switched off, because the available models are not good enough at Bangla for us to be confident in a correction to somebody's own language.

Your allowance is three runs of each feature, for the lifetime of your account — three CV reads and three writing checks. A run only counts when a model actually answered; if the gateway fails, you are not charged for it. Your remaining runs are shown on the page.

We do not use an AI to decide whether you get a job. The "fit score" an employer sees on an applicant card is calculated by us from the skills and requirements on the listing, not by a model, and it ranks a list — it never rejects anybody.

What the AI providers do with it. The gateway at ai.shakvaro.cloud is run by Shakvaro, the vendor that built and maintains Fresherz. Shakvaro does not use what passes through it to train any model. The onward providers are reached through their business APIs, whose published terms state that content submitted that way is not used to train their models, and nothing is sent to a consumer chat product. Both AI features are opt-in and neither runs unless you press the button — if you would rather no model ever read your CV, do not press it. The basic reader works without one, and you can always type your profile in yourself.

What employers can see

You control this with the visibility setting on your profile.

  • Public — your profile has a public web address (/p/your-name), search engines can index it, and employers can find you in the profile search.

  • Visible to employers I applied to — your profile is not public and not searchable; only an employer whose opening you applied to can open it.

  • Private — nobody but you.

Separately, you can publish your profile while keeping your mobile number off it. Your date of birth is never shown publicly. When you apply to a listing, that employer sees your profile, your CV, your cover letter and your screening answers regardless of the visibility setting — applying is the act of sharing.

Employers can see when their listing's applicants were viewed and can message you. You can archive a conversation; archiving hides it from your inbox and does not delete it from theirs.

Who else we share data with

We do not sell your data and we do not give it to advertisers. We share it with:

  • Employers, as described above.

  • Our AI gateway (Shakvaro) and the model provider it routes to, for the two features above only.

  • Our email provider — Resend, in the United States — to deliver the emails you asked for.

  • Our hosting provider — a virtual private server located in Bangladesh, connected to the BDIX national exchange — where the servers run.

  • Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.

  • Authorities, where a law of Bangladesh requires it and the request is properly made.

Some of these providers operate outside Bangladesh, which means your data may be processed abroad. Our own servers, and the database that holds your profile, your CV and your messages, are in Bangladesh. Google and Resend process abroad, and the model providers behind our AI gateway may. Each of them receives only what the feature you used requires, and only at the moment you use it. We do not promise that every provider will one day sit inside Bangladesh, because there is no equivalent local provider for email delivery or for the AI features today; if that changes, we would rather move than tell you we already had.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and profile for as long as your account is open. Applications, messages and invoices are kept as a record of what happened between you and an employer, because they are that employer's record too. Web-server logs are rotated daily and kept for seven days. Database backups are kept for fourteen days and then deleted. A CV upload whose reading never finished is marked failed within fifteen minutes and swept; a listing that passes its closing date stops being published. We do not currently delete inactive accounts automatically, and if we ever introduce an inactivity rule we will say so on this page and email anyone it would affect before it takes effect.

Closing your account and erasing your data

Write to support@fresherzjob.com and ask us to close your account. When we do, we permanently remove your name, email address, mobile number, photograph, video introduction, uploaded CV files and everything our CV reader had extracted from them, your headline, your "about" text, your public contact details, your date of birth and your links; your public profile page is unpublished and its web address is changed so your name no longer appears in it. This part cannot be undone.

What stays is the shape of your history — that an application was made, that an employer shortlisted somebody, that an invoice was issued — because deleting those would damage the records of people who did not ask to leave. Your name is not attached to them.

There is no self-service "delete my account" button yet. We are saying so rather than implying otherwise. Until there is one, an email to that address does exactly the same thing — the same erasure described above, run by a person — and we act on it within ten working days.

Your other choices

  • See and correct your data — everything we hold about you as a candidate is on your profile and settings pages, and you can edit it.

  • Stop the emails — every job alert carries a one-click unsubscribe link that works without signing in, and notification preferences are in your settings.

  • Take your data with you — you can download your profile as a PDF CV at any time.

  • Hide yourself — set your profile to private, or turn off "open to work".

How we protect it

Sign-in runs over an encrypted connection with a secure, HTTP-only session cookie; passwords are stored as Argon2id hashes and are never readable, by us or anyone. Uploaded CVs are held on a private disk under random file names and are served only through short-lived signed links, never a guessable URL. Every uploaded CV is scanned for malware before anything reads it. Access between accounts is checked on every request, so one employer cannot reach another employer's applicants. No system is perfect, and if we ever suffer a breach affecting your data we will tell you and the relevant authority. Where the Personal Data Protection Act, 2026 requires us to notify the National Data Management Authority, we will do so as soon as we can and in any case within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, and we will tell the people affected without waiting for that process to finish. The Act leaves the deadline to regulations that have not yet been issued, so the 72 hours is a promise we are making rather than one being made for us.

Children

Fresherz is for people looking for internships and jobs. You must be at least 16 to open an account. If you are under 18, you may use Fresherz only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian, and only for work the Bangladesh Labour Act, 2006 permits at your age.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will say so on this page and change the "Last updated" date, and where the change affects how your data is shared we will tell you by email.

Complaints

Write to our grievance officer at support@fresherzjob.com. We aim to answer within ten working days. You may also complain to the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) about a paid service, or to the relevant authority under Bangladesh's data protection law.
