Community Guidelines
Fresherz exists so that a student or a fresh graduate in Bangladesh can find a first job without paying anybody for the privilege, and so that an employer can find someone good without wading through noise. These are the rules that keep it that way. They apply to profiles, listings, company pages, messages, cover letters, reports and anything else you can write here.
The one rule above all others
No one on Fresherz may ask a candidate for money. Not for an application, not for "registration", not for a training kit, a uniform, a medical test, "security money", a deposit, or an agent's commission. A real employer pays you; you do not pay them.
If you are asked: do not pay, keep the message, and press Report on the listing. Choose "Asking for money". Reports go to a person, not a filter, and this is the report we act on fastest. An account that does this is closed.
For candidates
Be yourself, accurately. Your profile should be a true account of what you have done and what you can do. A stretched line about a project is one thing; an invented employer or a degree you do not hold is fraud, and it is the employer who finds out.
Write your own words. The writing-check feature will tidy what you wrote and suggest better phrasing — that is fine, and it is why it exists. Pasting somebody else's profile is not.
Apply because you want the role. Applying to everything with the same cover letter wastes an employer's afternoon and your reputation. Read the listing.
Keep messages about work. An employer's inbox is not a place for personal approaches, and neither is a candidate's.
Protect yourself. Never put your National ID number, bank details, card numbers or passwords in a profile, a cover letter or a message. No legitimate employer needs them before you have an offer in writing. Meet for a first interview somewhere public or online, and be careful of a "job" that will only talk on WhatsApp and will not name its office.
For employers
Post real roles you are authorised to post. One listing per opening, at the organisation you actually represent. Re-posting the same role to sit at the top of the list is spam and we will remove it.
Say what the job is. The work, where it is, whether it is remote, how long it lasts, and what it pays — or that it is unpaid, honestly, if it is. A candidate deciding how to spend three months deserves to know before they apply, not after the second interview. Stating a stipend is not compulsory on Fresherz, and an honest "unpaid" is a perfectly acceptable answer — but a listing that says nothing at all about pay gets fewer and worse applications than one that says so plainly.
Write requirements about the job. Skills, qualifications, availability — yes. Sex, marital status, religion, ethnicity or disability, where they have nothing to do with the work — no. If you set an age or a gender requirement, be ready to explain why the role genuinely requires it. Listings that discriminate for no reason will be removed, and "Discriminatory" is one of the reasons anybody can report a listing for.
Treat candidate data as borrowed. What you can see about a candidate is for deciding on that candidate for that role. Do not export it, do not sell it, do not add anybody to a mailing list, do not pass it to another company, and do not keep it once you have finished hiring.
Answer, or move them along. Silence is the single most common complaint freshers have about applying for work. Moving an applicant to a stage costs you one click and tells them where they stand.
Never these. Multi-level marketing. Commission-only "sales internships" presented as salaried roles. Listings that are really advertisements for a course you sell. Roles that require the candidate to recruit others. Anything that is not a job.
Content that is never allowed
- Harassment, threats, or abuse of any person.
- Slurs or content attacking people for their religion, ethnicity, sex, disability or where they come from.
- Sexual content, or any approach of a sexual nature to a candidate or an employer.
- Anything that puts a child in the way of work, or any listing for work below the legal working age.
- Other people's personal data, published without their consent.
- Malware, phishing links, or links to sites that impersonate a company.
- Impersonating a company, a person, or Fresherz itself.
- Anything illegal under the laws of Bangladesh.
What we do when a rule is broken
We use the smallest measure that fixes the problem, and we try to tell you why:
- We edit or remove the content — a listing, a line in a profile, a message.
- We warn the account.
- We suspend the account while we look into it. A suspended employer's listings come down.
- We close the account.
Asking candidates for money, sexual harassment, and listings that endanger somebody go straight to the last step. If you think we got it wrong, reply to the email we sent you and a different person will look at it.
Reporting
Every listing has a Report button, with these reasons: asking for money, scam, misleading, discriminatory, offensive, not actually hiring, duplicate, and other. Tell us what you saw in your own words — the detail is what makes a report actionable. We do not tell the reported party who reported them.
To report a message, a profile or a company page, write to support@fresherzjob.com with a link.
If you believe a crime has been committed against you, report it to the police as well. We will cooperate with a lawful request. In an emergency anywhere in Bangladesh, call 999.
A word about the AI features
The CV reader and the writing check are there to save you typing, not to write a person who does not exist. Everything they produce is a suggestion you have to accept, and everything you accept becomes your statement about yourself. If it is not true, do not accept it.
Changes
These guidelines will change as the platform does. The date at the top says when they last did.
